We picked the wrong weekend for a quick road trip. The wind and blowing dust in the San Luis valley made things really miserable. It's how I pictured the great dust bowl of the 1930s. I guess all that dust has to wind up somewhere and it appears to have coated many of the snow covered peaks. Not looking for critique, just wanted to do a show and tell.
This 1st one is from the road, driving across the San Luis valley.
I hear ya Paul. I was in San Juans and the SLV over the weekend too and can confirm what you experienced. The wildfires, esp. the one somewhere south of the Spanish Peaks and Culebra didn't help matters either.

I chose the wrong weekend to spend in the Utah backcountry and was badly sandblasted for my efforts.
