From the trip a couple weeks back with Lon and Harley. Lon and I worked this area for about as hour as the sun went in and out of the clouds. It was inevitable that when the light got good the wind picked up. I'm actually surprised I got a sharp image here. Digital would have been so much easier but I was determined to use the 4x5.

Chamonix 4x5

I'm always on the lookout for a Dogwood shot like this
in Yosemite but to date have never been successful.
Congratulations ,Jason, on your find. Well done.

Nice and simple indeed. I might look at a couple of things. The tree looks a little on the red side, maybe by a touch. Also, I might experiment cropping the top a little. Minor nits, nice image.

Very empty but that makes it work!

The contrast between the flower and the background trunk is very nice. Your DOF choice further helps the flower stand out.

The contrast between the flower and the strong trunk really brings out the delicate nature of the dogwood, nicely seen and photographed!
