Bright Angel Canyon Winter Afternoon
One of Bright Angel Canyon in Grand Canyon NP from February. It may have warm colors but it was about 28 when I took the image. The next day would be mostly white out.

From my Panasonic LX3.

Well done, nice comp, color and layers. It looks like it could use a bit more sharpening.

I think I'd like to see a pic from here after the whiteout. I do love the sweet light, and the snow on the distant rim is nice, but overall this feels a bit static to me. I'd also suggest adding a stroke to the image, as that little strip of sky gets lost against a white background.

Darren... pretty amazing place... love the soft light and your composition... I think it is a hard place to compose and come away with some good layers ...but you have done very well ... :toast:

Thanks. I had meant to post several images of GCNP and how the snow started to fall like Todd suggests but after posting the first I realized I gotta get to the office! I'll post a series later this week.

Beautiful capture! I really like the composition you chose.
I didn't even notice the sky 'til I read Todd's comments. Perhaps you can do something about it?
Regardless, this is a really fine image!
