A Day in the Plains
Headed out to the Grasslands for the morning on Saturday (Thanks to Kurt Bowman for some pointers). It wasn't a particularly productive day photographically speaking, but here are a few that really sum up the area for me.
Canon 50D and 5D2, 24-105 & 400L.

Nice variety here - I like the spinning windmill and the symmetry of the B owl comp. #1 is very well done too!

Ditto Dave-o. I love the movement in the windmill. Real nice, clean comp in the first one, too.

Excellent images all around, Nick.

Hey Nick,

Very nice! I shot this exact building last week when I was storm chasing but I think your comp is better than mine for sure. I haven't tried a conversion yet but my first thought was make it B/W. Thanks for the inspiration.

#1 is the one. Really nice and even the cloudless sky works here.

Looks like a productive day to me, too!
Everyone of these is terrific. I especially like the windmill images. I could see b&w (or toned b&w) with that second one, as well.

Well done shots of the kind of things i see every day living on the plains.

Nice images! Really like the BW. As John suggested, that would look great toned.
