Click for 7400-pixels-wide version!
Normally you'd be able to see Wetterhorn, Matterhorn and Uncompahgre all fairly close together, but in this shot Wetterhorn has its head in the clouds.

(please disregard the oof aspen limbs in the far right end of the image. I'll take care of them later)

That large version is great. Put that in a PowerPoint and have it slowly scroll by over 4 or 5 seconds it will be a cool show.

Fantastic pano, Todd, and the details in the larger version are awesome. Can you tell us how many shots you used to get the pano?
Posted by Todd Caudle on May 25, 2010 at 9:25 AM
Tom, this was eight horizontal images from the 5D2, with sufficient overlap, yielding a final output aspect ratio just short of 1:10 vs. a single frame's 1:1.5 aspect ratio. I think that makes this the equivalent of around a 120-mp image.

Sweet! Makes me wanna be really high right now...

Maybe you could bring a 4' x 120' sample to the next shindig?

Makes me wanna be really high right now...

Dave, I think you meant to post this in the Rush documentary thread.

Very impressive. I echo Dave's suggestion to bring a 4'x120' sample for us to drool over.

This would make a great border-style wallpaper for room decoration.
