I'll be working near Denver this coming September and will be adding one additional week at the end of my stay to photograph elsewhere within the state. Over the years I've photographed hoodoos throughout New Mexico, Utah and Arizona, and been excited about the idea of doing so in Colorado during my extra week, but am having challenges finding possible locations. I've tried the usual internet and book research and discovered Wheeler Geologic Area but it may be too difficult to access on this trip since I'll be solo. I'd very much welcome any other location ideas where hoodoos might be found elsewhere in Colorado. Thanks for taking the time to read this post.

Paint Mines near Calhan
This is east of Colorado Springs.

Great suggestion Todd. I'd been considering staying in Colorado Springs and shooting a few days in Garden of the Gods so Paint Mines with its hoodoos looks like a terrific place to go either before or after. Thanks so much.
