Beautiful. Not very common in Holland these black ones.

Well done

That is a beauty Phil. The bird really stands out well, exposure is great and the leaves coming into each side of the frame sets it off nicely.

Well exposed bird nicely framed by the leaves - cracker. I wonder if it might move a tad so the eye is not so central perhaps, but then maybe you would lose the framing ? :toast:

Everything for me seems right in the shot. I think the bird is positioned as I would like it to be.

Really very nice indeed but the comp just doesn't sit quite as well for me. I think I'd like the bird a little more tot he left and very slightly higher int he frame. I would also remove the leaf from the LHS centre as, unlike the others, isn't really anchored by anything whereas the others help frame the picture nicely.. Very well detailed and exposure seems spot on.

I like this just as it is Phil, framing works for me, the leaves hold it all in perfectly!

Very nice study, my only nit is I'm not too sure about the baited waxworm, its a bit OTT for a natural food item

Excellent shot spot on exposure :toast: :toast:

Lovely detail. The leaves framing the bird hold your eye in the frame.

Sorry Phil, nit retracted!

It looked like a commercial waxworm or a burrowing grub of some sort, I've not seen a large white leaf caterpillar like this before
