Nothing particularly noteworthy about this shot, except that it's a 10-minute exposure, lit only by a waxing crescent moon. The hazy area to the left of the top of the falls is from the mist rising. For all I know, gremlins and unicorns could've been dancing around at the base of the falls during the exposure (they'd be totally blurred out by the long exposure), but I wouldn't know. During the 10 minutes of shutter time I was sitting in my truck, listening to Tool at a volume capable of stripping paint off walls.
Interesting, wouldn't have guessed it was a night shot at first glance. I stopped by there a few days ago too and was disappointed things weren't nearly green yet. Looks like you made the most of it though. It's a bit noisy in the shadow areas, esp around the misty parts, but for a 10 min exposure that's expected and easily fixed.
The problem with long exposures taken under full moonlight is that they look exactly like daytime exposures. The heavy blue cast in the water may be a slight giveaway that this was taken at night.
Aside from the novelty factor, I frankly don't think this is near the quality of the work you've been posting from your most recent trip.
Sorry...
