One from a few weeks ago, light wasn't the best when he decided to show. This is a site where I see kingfishers a lot the only downside is we are not allowed to go in front of any hides to mess about with perches now, which is understandable because it could disturb the wildlife and to me they always come first,so untill I find a new sight I have to put up with it unless they land on any other of the reed stems etc.

Good shot and pose though.Just a bit of a shame about the perch, but I know where you go and know of the problems.

The 'painterly' feel of the background enhances this image for me. The pose on the kingfisher is great also.

Great kingfisher shot great feather detail.
Pitty people keep going on about the flaming perch and not the main subject.
