Palouse barn
Weather hasn't been great, but I found this nice barn near Moscow, ID. Hoping for a nice sunrise tomorrow since I've been rained on for 9 solid days. Thanks for looking!

Amy, this is excellent! I like the curves and the intersecting lines. Very nice! Im wondering if it would be better without the sky?

Great shot. Love the graceful curves and harmonious colors in the landscape Really nice find on the barn.

Excellent indeed. I do agree with Erik, I think it's even stronger without the sky.

Thanks for the comments! I posted this on the RMNP forum as well and consensus seems to be to lose the sky. I kinda liked the blues and purples of the distant horizon, but i will crop and repost later this weekend.

Seemed like every photog and his brother was in the Palouse area this weekend! Hopefully they'll get some nice light, as it was overcast and drizzly the whole time I was there (in fact, my entire 10 day PAC NW vacation!). :wavey:

I agree with others that this is a great photo, but I also find the sky distracting from the barn and the overall composition. I was there with a group last weekend, and we were fortunate to have many breaks in the rain, although it was cold and windy. The population of the area must increase by 25% when the photographers are there.

Great shot Amy. Looks like an awesome place. I gotta get over there.

Amy,
Love the rolling layers of colors and that fence line... that plays the viewers eyes!

Amy this is really a nice image. I like the soft light, the pastel colors. The comp is very good with the barn and fence in the lower area. I'm heading there in a couple of weeks. Hope to have some luck too.

Beautiful and graceful shot! Not too crazy about the sky being in the photo but still an excellent capture!

Crop the sky...and give the yellows and greens a bump and this is a great image!

Very nice photo Amy. I really like the composition and the white fence at the bottom of the frame really adds to the scene.
