Eagles & Eaglets
I had Kurt and Jay up to Summit County to photograph this nesting pair of Bald Eagles. Like Kurt said they are a ways off. 1st image shot with 5DMKII and 100-400. 2nd image Kurt let me try out the big gun 500mm with the 1.4 on my 5DMKII. This nest is about 6 miles from my house so I should be able to watch them grow thru the summer.

Both are really, really good! Great poses in the first and the second is excellent with the eaglets.

Bob, thanks for having us out there - I appreciate your hospitality. We did find that fox den, too. :wavey:

Exactly what Morris said.
Love seeing the babies in the nest, and all that foliage complements the scene rather than obstructing it.

The view down into the nest is great, an unusual angle. Where were you located?

Don- we were next to a road looking down to a tree with the nest for the 2nd shot. Worked out well for seeing the babies. We were still a long way off- the 500mm sure helped.
