Female Kingfisher
Cheers for all your comments on the Tawny Owl and intersting debate on what people feel useing flash. Cheers David.
Now for something less controversial I hope.
Taken from a chair hide Last autumn I Got to know this old girl very well to the stage when I used to pack my hide up at the end of the day she would just turn round on the perch and watch me put the hide away. great feeling to be trusted.

Beautiful :) Always wanted to see one of these, let alone get a photo!

Lovely. Really nice background colour helps the bird stand out and the perch is nice too :toast:

Very nice pose with the headturn just right... it is however too blue.... the whites have a slight blue cast and Lichen certainly is not that colour... if you remove the blue cast the Kingfisher looks more natural and the bg warms up a little that makes a great contrast to the bird...

Great bird and pose etc.
I thought it looked a bit blueish but with my record on colour and monitors I wasn't sure.

Thanks Dale. I agree with Phil about the blueness of the image. Should be easy to remedy, though. A very sedate kingfisher image.

I don't hold much credibitly for criticising images yet but for me as soon as I saw it I thought what a stunning pose, background and perch, but then the perch looked too blue for me.

I'm sure with a little selective colour enhancement that can be easily recitified :toast:
