After waiting out the heavier rains this morning it was like my own private garden for an hour or so before sightseers and other photogs started to show. The sky stayed gray and it was calm for the most part.
Gotta few landscapes and a couple shots of a rain drenched purple iris that I'll be posting later. The colors on this bloom were amazing. I hope I do them justice.
A slight crop off the btm to exclude an even larger patch of annoying sky. At first I cloned it out and it still didn't look right. There was just too much empty water in the fg. I'll visit again when I can get some softer light.
Is there a way to add this to my gallery without posting it in one of the main galleries?
Comments welcome and thanks for looking.
Bruce, Nice composition. I think the reflections add a nice touch. It looks a little cool to me...you might consider warming it up a bit. Congratulations.
Thanks Davis I appreciate your comment. I see what you mean. Looking closely I guess the rocks, and even some of the greens have a bluish tint to them. I probably should have left WB alone in ACR, but it seemed a little yellow to me then. Somewhere in between might be the way to go.
BTW, I took a peek at the Japanese Garden Gallery on your site. Beautiful in every sense. I studied the composition and got some good ideas how I could improve my own images next time I visit Kubota.
Thanks
