I took this shot a couple weeks back. It's a narrow canyon draining into the Baker Lake area. Quite a scramble to access, but quite beautiful I think. Here's a first attempt at processing one of my shots.

Canon XT
10-22 Canon @ 22mm
1/3rd sec
f13
100iso

C&C welcome!

Nice work, Jason. I think the framing with the rocks on either side really help to draw the viewer in. I don't mind the hot spots from the sun, but you might be able to tone them down some. The color in the water is fantastic and very cold feeing. Excellent. :toast:

I really like how you've controlled the exposure here to captured every range and not overdo it. That's not easy to do... :toast:

Excellent capture Jason, I love the light as much as the water a very relaxing composition with plenty to take in and enjoy.

Great job controlling the light in this contrasty scene Jason. I like your choice of shutter speed here.

Thanks for the feedback and kind remarks. David, here is a revised version using a 2nd image (underexposed) to try to deal with the highlights from the sun. What do you think? Better or not?

I can only post a link--but I'll post it over in ESS too, so stay tuned... http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4015/4668383506_5483b40289_b.jpg

Thanks,
