Morning everyone. I spent yesterday in The Hide, the weather was horrible, pouring down all day. I was pleased to come away with a few images though, like this one of a Male Chaffinch. Unfortunately it seems to have a disease on it's legs, poor thing! All comments are greatly recieved, many thanks,
Paul. :wavey:

Canon EOS 7D, Sigma 150-500mm lens, Tripod.

Hi Paul
Considering the weather you did well here
It indeed has got the bumble foot disease. Its a form specific to Chaffinches. Some around here are far worse than that. Its similar to the disease that chickens get called scale or something. Some folks are putting treatment in bird baths I hear.
Cheers

Pity you can't catch it a little liquid paraffin would cure it's problem i'm sure.

Nice simple Chaffinch image with a good perch , nice comp & bg. I have not seen this growth on a Chaffinch before & there are lots of them around here.

HI Paul

you did very well under the condition, the image is realistic and I like the raindrops.

Hi Paul,

Nice image given the conditions! Shame about the legs, but I'm sure images of birds with this condition are also needed.

Cheers,

Lewis.
