One of many images taken whilst sitting on the bank of a stream waiting for some wagtails to take advantage of some beautiful snow covered rocks in the stream. A group of robins decided to join me and I spent at least 30 minutes playing with a eos 20D, 150mm macro lens and 580ex flashgun while the 1D MkII N and 600mm were ignored :) The robins were hopping all over me and my camera gear without a care in the world, it made my day :)

(edit) and I nailed a grey wagtail and some lambs but that's another story lol

Yeah, It's good to watch and be a part of. I was at Yarner Wood and had a Robin jump in my car driverside footwell while I was in the driving seat and proceeded to look for scraps on my car mat!!! He found plenty, must clean it more!!! Just great to watch!

As for the image, the perch isn't my cup of tea and the Robin's a bit too central

Cheers, Graeme
