I am selling some locally and I'm about to get laid off from my full time job and I thought the now would be the time to increase my photography revenue along with obtaining a new job as well.
I'm looking at several venues and was directed here as well.
If you can offer up any experience relative to selling from the 120 images which you can post with your paid membership, I'd truly appreciate it.
Jim, you don't mention what specific format, but I know 6x7 is fairly popular with calendar publishers.
Either way - you should be prepared to submit well in advance of when youe xpect to get paid. It may be up to a year or more from the time your submission is accepted to when they actually publish/pay.
Not clear if you mean selling 120mm (2 1/4 medium format) images or if you mean what success from posting 120 images (quantity) on the portfolios section of NPN. I assume the latter. If so, let me just say I make about 3-6 sales a month from my portfolio that has nor only easily repaid membership (many times over) but has gotten me enough money to buy a fair amount of new gear and paid for a few trips. NPN has had huge fringe benefits for me! Good luck Jim.

Jim clearly stated in his last sentence "selling from the 120 images which you can post with your paid membership", meaning PhotoPortfolios.net. There have been a number of people in the past who have posted kudos to PPN because they made a sale through there. I have not, but my portfolio is massively out of date.

Hi Jim,
I've just posted a bunch of new photos but before that I had a portfolio of shots soley from the Lewis and Clark Trail regions. While I didn't get any cold sales I did include a link to the site when emailing different clients about Lewis and Clark photos and made several sales, including a couple photo essays concerning the Lewis and Clark Trail through the Bitterroot Mountains in Idaho. I think Jim has done a great job in setting up the portfolios site. I think its especially good for people like myself who don't have their own custom website. Good luck, Randy
