I am trying to setup an action that needs to open another image and copy/paste a layer from that image into the current image. For some reason when just doing this in recording, things get messed up. It seems like it works fine until it opens the other image. Maybe it is the colorspace pop-up that is messing things up? Either way the layer never makes it over to the new image. Does anyone have any experience with this that can give me a few tips/pointers? Thanks in advance!
File->Automate->Batch.
In 'Play', choose the action that you've created.
Leave 'Source' at the default 'Folder'. You're not going to create any batch commands here.
Click on the 'Suppress Color Profile Warnings' box.
Leave 'Destinations' as 'None'. Again, no batch work today.
Click 'OK' and give it a whirl.
You may have to restart PS in order for it to work.
John, it tells me I have to pick a Source, and will not let me continue without doing so (CS4).
I think I figured out a way around it though and got it working. Instead of opening the watermark layer, I copied it into the clipboard and then recorded the paste. That seems to have worked.
