I bought a variegated form of Lilly of the valley a couple of years ago and there was a tiny seedling of what looked like a primula, growing in the compost. I transplanted it into a separate pot and forgot about it. This is what it grew into.

Great stuff David . A man after me own heart.
Is it P. Japonica "Postford White " or one of the Bullyana/bessiana jobb ?
I grow a lot of these and if you want anymore seedlings. Also Orange P Florindae.
Cheers, John. I think it is probably P. japonica 'Alba' as 'Postford White' is supposed to be very fragrant, whilst my seedling has some fragrance, but not overtly so. at least to me anyway. I used to grow P. florindae the Himalayan or Giant cowslip, years ago, until I concentrated on breeding show auriculas, (Greens, Greys and Stripes) sadly all gone (except one) since I lost interest when my wife died. Thanks for the offer of seedlings, I might take you up on it, as I am slowly regaining an interest again, but it is early days yet.
Like this very much David. Dark BG sets it off nicely. Maybe a little more room top and right. Bit of a bonus getting this in the pot I normally get weeds

Thats a very striking image and I like the crop! The border also works well with this one.
Cheers,
