Land of Stone (aka:Kane's World)
Tarryall Range, Lost Creek W.A. and a nod to Kane Engelbert's remarkable high altitude work in the LCWA.

We traveled from Twin Eagles to McCurdy Park and up Brookside. The trails are snow free in that area. Aspens are lime green up to around 9,200' and barely have buds higher up. It's pretty cool that we have a place that "opens up" early in the season.

I like the color contrast of the red rock up against the gray ones all around it. It really helps to pull your eye to those foreground elements.

Like the low clouds and the details in the rocks.

And I like the tree that appears to be curling up to the rock, along with the low clouds and gorgeous colors.
An artistic composition well seen and captured!

A beautiful and artistic image, Dave. I'm looking at this on a large screen TV and WOW!.

Beautiful. Great comp and cool clouds. It's good to have an early season "go to" area as nice as LCWA.

I like the curved pine sitting in front of the texture on the rock. Nice work Dave
