From the top of Mt. Evans yesterday. I had hoped for a better sunrise, but there was not much of any clouds to be found in the sky. This made all my regular mountain comps pretty dull, so I decided to try something different. I knew there is a reason why I haul my 70-200 around all the time in my pack when I never use it.
As always, I value feedback and C&C from all of you talented folks as I try to improve.
Beautiful and interesting shot, Koveh. I think the only thing I'd do is try to reduce the neon quality to the blues in the distant ridges. Perhaps select that area, and on a hue/saturation/lightness layer, slide the lightness and saturation sliders to the left a tad. But this is really, really nice. Cold?
This is excellent!
The building imparts a feeling of cold, loneliness, austerity and isolation that just wouldn't exist without it being there.
Looks like an observatory. Can you fill me in on what this building is?
Todd, thanks for the feedback. It wasn't too terribly cold up there, but not nice by any stretch either. It was about 20-25 degrees I think. The problem was the wind makes it much worst. Sunset was not bad there, but sunrise turned out to be a bit gusty.
