Swift catching fly
I haven't posted any pics for a while because I am never satisfied with most of them! This is not a good shot by any means but I was lucky to catch the swift just as it was about to catch a fly. It was totally unexpected as I was panning at high speed to keep up with the bird. All comments welcome.

Aesthetically the image is left wanting but there is a interest value nonetheless. Bet you're tempted to improve on it - tough shot but great if you can put it off.

Cheers,
Chris

You'll have to get one of those super slo-mo video cameras they are using on Springwatch.  However this will do for me for starters.

Hi Andy,

A good attempt at a difficult subject. With this image I would be tempted to convert it to B&W and up the contrast a bit to give a silhouette with a bit more impact, almost pure black with almost pure white bg, also a little more sharpening. I appreciate that may not be your cup of tea. Looking forward to more shots of these!

Cheers,

Lewis.
