Another Wood White...
...but from the opposite side to the last post.
I feel this one works better IMO even though it hasn't got the colours in the background compared to my last post. It was pretty cool on the day so I managed to carefully remove some of the dandelion seed heads that were covering it.
I'd be interested in what people think of this.

Comments and crits welcome.

Now this I like Ian... A super subject, a great perch and a clean bg with a hint of gradation... the only very minor nit is that the rear of the forewing is ever so slightly out of the DoF, not always easy to get that perfect.... perhaps going to f9 ish may have helped and still kept the bg smooth?

Minor nit covered. This looks really good. IMO better than the one you posted earlier.

Great suff.

Hi Ian,

Another beauty, minor nit covered, I'm undecided which one of the two I prefer, they are both great!

Cheers,

Lewis.

A lovely image. No nits from me.

that's an excellent shot Ian, I also prefer this to your first post, although it's difficult to put my finger on why. The composition works better somehow and the fact the butterfly has stronger markings on this side also seems to help.
