Grey Dagger/Dark Dagger
The former I think but not absolutely sure. Managed 5 different caterpillars on Monday. Never seen so many. Some are just amazing colours. Not the easiest thing to photograph but fun nonetheless.

I'm useless at identifying caterpillars Maggie and always find them surprisingly difficult to photograph well. You've done a good job here. I think the caterpillar's curved shape suits the central composition and all parts look nice and sharp.

Five different caterpillars in one day. Wow!! I've not seen any at all this year, so far. You've captured this very well indeed, as they are not easy.

I agree with Matt in terms of photographing these - surprisingly tricky to get right. Nice shot.

Cheers,
