.. This time the full specimen. I came to accept that the wings would not be in focus partly because they were vibrating as they were being plumped up and because of the position they were in. I concentrated on the body and the rest of the detail in the frame and hope it works?

Your comments are very welcome.

Kind regards,

Brett

I much prefer that one Brett, lovely background too. It looks a bit dark on my monitor.

Impressive shot of this large Dragonfly! Love the muted tones in this one though it is a bit dark.

Never seen one of these so can't comment on the darkness, but the shot works for me.

I like the detail in the image and particularly like the background you were able to capture, but I think the "tight-in-the-frame" police are coming for you

Well that's as near perfect as you'll get Brett - can't really find anything to pick fault with apart from there's PERHAPS a wee bit of blue/cyan in there, but I'm undecided on that.

Much better comp than the first one - cracking job Brett :toast:

That'll do .A touch of curves to 220/30 ish and gamma to 0.85 seals the deal for me.

Excellent Brett. The only thing I might do is clone out the top of the plant so that it looks like it naturally finishes within the frame.

Colour looks fine to me. Might have preferred a little more room on top but thats a minute niggle. Cracking image Brett. :toast:
