My first visit to Grand Teton last weekend - Monday morning was beautiful after a couple of days of cloudy weather ( I was in Yellowstone area Saturday and Sunday ) . After debating a lot visitied Schwabachers landing for sunrise and met around 20 others early in the morning - took a few shots , C&C is always welcome.
Hey Soubhik, the main thing that jumps out at me with that first one is how much darker the real mountain is than the reflection, a dead giveaway of an ND grad filter. Keep in mind a reflection will never be brighter than an object being reflected. This looks nearly perfect if it had been displayed upside-down, except for the grass growing out of the sky.
I'd also rather see more detail in that overwhelming blackness.
Todd has hit on what I am seeing as well. Compositions look good, but just underexposed.
As for the moose, you too tend to get the south side of a North moving animals as well. Would have been nice to have it turn around and smile for the camera, but you get what you can.
I'd be really happy with this set of images on my first visit to Teton. The conditions you had were excellently colorful, and you found some sweet wildlife. I agree with what's said above about darkening the reflections and in general backing off on the overall contrast. Thanks for posting!
