For the last several months I've noticed that a lot of named features that used to show up on GE no longer do. Most blatantly, I never see any of the little green mountain icons with the peak name anymore. I've got mountains and water bodies check-marked under the geographic features tab in the menu, but to no avail.
Case in point: While looking at the peaks in the Lizard Head Wilderness just now, none of the peaks had names/little green mountain icons attached to them, except one. And it's wrong. It lists El Diente Peak as Red Mountain, and references the series of Red Mountains over by (of all places) Red Mountain Pass. No other peak shows a name. I notice this all over the place, with lakes and creeks similarly lacking in names.
Anybody know if it's me, or something GE consciously did?
odd, I just downloaded latest version of GE and I can see mountain names, etc...I had to check tab under more/gepgraphic areas and they show up...I can see Wetterhorn, Matterhorn, etc.
I have the same issue, kind of a bummer, as almost all peaks used to be labeled, so handy. I've got the "more/geographic areas" tab checked too, but it only seems to have a few, 14ers really. Hmmm....
GE has been reorganizing feature categories a lot lately. They've probably moved the peaks where they're harder to find. I'd be really surprised if these features were totally removed. I'm away from the computer this weekend, so I can't dig into it. I'll check it out when we're back home.

Yes, lots of people not happy with this and no fix from Google, yet. I can't imagine why they'd remove all this useful data. This thread on the GE support forums follows the complaints...
