I'm excited to announce that I'm the latest contributing writer over at the Outdoor Photo Gear blog. My first article, "Five Ways Photography Changed My Life" went live today. If you're interested, you can check it out here.
They'll publish 3 or 4 more articles this month and several more throughout the year. I'm honored to have this opportunity as they've got some amazing talent on staff, including Rick Sammon, Juan Pons, Mike Moats, Art Howard and lots more. Lots of useful information to be found on that blog.
At any rate, just had to toot my own horn. Hope y'all forgive me!
With that, I'm off to the Tetons for two weeks. Have a great weekend!
Thanks, everyone! A little behind in leaving for my trip to the Tetons. Finally all packed up and ready to go. Tomorrow morning, I'm outta here. I'll post some photos upon my return.
Hey Bret,
Great article and in my point of view it is spot on. It's great that all the work and enjoyment you have put into your photo hobby is paying off for you in form of income from your avocation. I am sure many are envious of you. Also, from your blog I was surprised to learn of your near depression 10 years ago. To see you now I always feel that you are just the opposite of depressed; you seem so happy and full of life.
Anyway congratulations on your continual growth in photography and I wish you and Nat the best on your adventure to the Tetons.
Hi Bret. Great article! Thanks for sharing your widsom, all of which I completely agree with. Have a blast in the Tetons, and good luck with your workshop. I was up there last weekend and spring is just barely beginning in the park, with most aspen still without leaves, thus rendering some of the more iconic spots (Snake River Overlook, Oxbow Bend) less attractive than usual. I'm sure with the better weather here spring will be rapidly advancing.
Awesome article! I also realize getting out and photographing nature, or just being in nature is great therapy.
