Pygmy Owl
This weekend a Pygmy Owl showed up in my local woods. It's a very rare visitor in Denmark, and it was the first time I ever saw one. Most of the time it was sitting far away in a fenced off area, but suddenly it decided to land in a small spruce-top only 10 meters from me - so I got my shot :jump:

20D + 500/4 + tc1.4, iso400 1/320 f7.1, cropped to vertical.

Hi Helge

Cracking shot of a special bird on a beautiful perch. Would have been nice if he had given you an even BG but that really is nit picking - great image!

An absolute cracker ! :toast:

There's a faint OOF line by its tail I'd be tempted to try and get rid of. Once I noticed it my eyes kept getting drawn to it....but that could be me.
