I got this image in April this spring near
Arvin, California. Slight color enhancement
and a little sharpening. I appreciate your
comments/critiques.

Robert, I like the angle of view here. This also has some nice peaceful colors throughout. Nice work. Sure wish I was closer to these areas. Always a lot of traveling for me to get out to these locals.

Robert,

This image has a very nice flow to it.Including the hills in the background makes the image for me.

Beautiful combination of colors and pattern in the foreground flowers, Robert. And I think the processing (saturation, etc.) look very natural. My only (very slight) nit is the extreme LLC, which doesn’t completely match the pattern of the rest of the foreground.

Under the category of future reference, in scenes like this you might consider taking a series of images at different focal planes. If you are open to compositing separate images to form the final image with front to back sharpness, this can be done with Photoshop or a dedicated focus stacking application like Helicon Focus. I’m not saying this would improve the current image (I like the soft BG here)---just provide more options without the need to purchase a tilt-shift lens for your Canon or use a T-S capable film camera.

I also missed Arvin this year. So that's what it looked like!
