Pale Purple Coneflower
Just got in from a whirlwind tour of a few prairies in Arkansas and Missouri over the weekend...took this photo yesterday afternoon. The next few days should be pretty good in Missouri. Coneflower in the River Valley of Arkansas is past peak.

Nikon 24-70mm, 2-shots, painted layer mask

That is very well done. It has calendar written all over it!

Bill, the sun is a perfect backdrop the the field of purple coneflowers. Did you get a chance to check them out in the Mulberry valley or did you stay clear of Wakarusa?

Thanks Darren and Tom.

Tom, I stayed clear of Wakarusa. Sounded like the largest gathering of folks in these parts since the Rainbow family back in '07.

Yea Wakarusa is a pretty large festival, it used to be held in Kansas but moved here last year I believe. Great stuff as usual Bill.
