This image was a nightmare. Shot hand held at 300mm out of a rocking ski boat Sunday around noon. Not exactly ideal conditions. Before anyone asks, yes the moon is real. The eagle actually made several passes right in front of the moon but I only got one that looked decent.

The unique composition and light make this one extra special, Matt. Sweet. This must have been a difficult shot, especially if you didn't have VR. At least you weren't skiing at the time.

Matthew, you efforts paid off nicely!

Thanks Tom and Bill. Fortunately I have VR built into the body and I am sure it helped a lot. I didn't even think about shooting it off of skis that might be fun, can I try it with your
camera though?

Cool! Great shot, especially considering your shooting conditions.

Hey Matt, Great capture - the moon and the light on the tail feathers make it...

A real moon? For real? Some luck eh!

I'm not much of an adder or subtractor when it comes to photography...

Yes it is real, I knew I would be doubted but that is okay. I subtract stuff all the time. Stuff like a distracting stick or twig, but if I can remove it by hand that is much easier than cloning later.

KILLER shot Matt. I love this one too. You have been getting some great shots lately. It pays to be out shooting thats for sure.
