I appreciate all the comments and feedback from everyone on the last images....and it made me more determined to go back in the evening to see if I could get rid of the nasty shadows. I had very little light to work with, so high ISO settings, but my 1D held up nicely. I also was fortunate to watch mommy bring back a vole for her daughter.

Really nice series Kurt! Love the variety you were able to get. Fav is Mom showing off her weapons! I would boost the contrast and sats on the first one a bit and brighten/slight contrast boost on the little black fox. We've got fox around here but I've yet to find ONE much less a great family like this.
Well done with all of these. Like the eyes in the first three, but the red fur on green background with a playful/inquisitive expression in #3 wins for me.
"Even more fox kits" ? You make it sound like you're boring us.
I can assure you that is not the case!
In fact, this may be your best work yet with these kids! I enjoyed and savored each and every one of these images. Love how the different lighting and backgrounds each complement the differently colored kits so well.
The only recommendation I have is so minor that I hate to mention it. You might consider desaturating the old red paint on that building a bit. It distracts me slightly from the great vole capture.
Magnificent work, Kurt!
This sort of photography never, ever bores me. In fact, I greatly appreciate you sharing it with us.
Thanks everyone for all the comments. I REALLY appreciate all the feedback.. John, please don't ever hate to mention anything. You have a ton of knowledge and any of it you are willing to share is a gift....plus, what a great suggestion. I also felt like it was compeating for the shot, but couldn't think outside of the box on what to do. I think that will add some seperation.
