Hare
D2x 200-400mm VR 1/250 @ F/4 ISO 100

Popped along to Emley for a couple of hour’s weekend to try out my latest lens, lots of Lapwing along the road but not much else, :frown: except a couple of Hares late in the afternoon.

Regards

Hi Colin
So you just casually popped along carrying a D2X and a 200-400 VR new lens. Who are you kidding. Well as if to prove a point you did a super job capturing Mr Hare. The fencing compliments it well and the angle is just right to get that main post directly behind the subject. Great shot. :toast:

nice image colin, a suitably overwintered looking subject. personally not overly keen on the background but it does suit the image quite well texture wise.

Thought I recognised those fence posts

A typical Elmly Hare, fraid I don't go very often at the moment for the reasons you have found, it has been like that for a while, not helped by some of the farmers handywork...

Like the image,

Very nice hare shot Colin. I like very much the texture and colours in the fence to compliment the hare. Only nit is the fencepost being so central, and the somewhat harsh light. :toast:

Hi Colin

I love everything about this image (setting and composition are just great) apart as Helge points out the harsh light. I still think the image is a bit special and just a simple adjustment in 'shadows & highlights' or 'curves' would IMO help to control the contrast!

Love this Colin, light a bit harsh but still a great shot. Cant get anywhere near the local ones here in Somerset. (private land). Well done.
