Brown Hare
700mm f5.6 1/250 iso640 Full frame

Returned to the reed beds last night in the hope of getting a few shots af warblers in the rain. Didn't work - they've got more sense than I have
Just as I was thinking about calling it a day this hare came bounding along the track towards me. My lens set-up was 700mm and he was getting perilously close to too close. I employed the old 'tut-tut-tut' sound and he stopped in his tracks, allowing me to fire off four frames.
Posted as shot - not sure whether to clone out some of the foliage, although I think it forms a nice frame as is. Thoughts?

Leave it exactly as it is, Simon. It is a beautiful shot, and draws you straight to the hare's eye.

Cracking portrait Simon - really pleasing to view. Don't remove the foliage; it acts as a great frame and compliments the image as Julian says.

Cheers,
Chris
