Four Spotted Chaser
One from the other day,
Nikon D300
Nikon 300mm f4 and 1.4tc
Tripod
f8 and 1/500th
Slight crop and a small amount of cloning to background to remove a stray twig.
On an aside does anybody know if nikon 1.7 tc will autocus with nikon 300mm f4
Many thanks

Very nice and detailed image, but I think the white stalk is a bit overpowering here.

Hi Shaun

Very nice shot with good detail and BG, agree with the previous comment, also think it is a little tight the edge of the frame especially the right, otherwise works for me.

The 1.7x should work with the 300F4 but i would only use it at F11 or smaller, I would try to tone down the reed but apart from that looks good

Nit covered - I like where you've placed the animal in the frame though.

Cheers,

Great colours and detail, although I do agree with previous comments about the twig being a bit overpowering.

I've had the same problem with reeds like this in the past, they can be very bright in sunlight! Possibly slightly tight in the frame but the dragon itself and the background are very nice.

Hi nits covered not a bad image, the 300 +1.7 works fine and can be used wide open @f6.7 but is better @ f8 I do use mine wide open all the time thou with the 1.7tc.
