House Wrens
Got this yesterday morning just before they started mating. The actual mating pics are ok, nothing special because it's from the back and not the side. Having trouble eliminating the noise. For some reason when I try to apply NIK Dfine 2.o noise reduction, or even CS4 noise reduction, it doesn't take. Any help on this matter would be appreciated.

Great shot! Yes, blurring is probably the easiest way since the background is already blurred. You could also just try the blur brush in PS.

Surprised this hasn't received more comments. It's an excellent 'caught in time' moment!
That background is just about perfect as is the shutter speed. Well done!
I've had the same problem as you one time just recently, and now I can't remember how I solved it.
I think that I made a duplicate image, flattened the layers and then applied noise reduction.

Your timing was perfect. This is really a wonderful image. You ought to submit this to a birding magazine. As far as noise, gaussian blur might be your friend here.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the comments. Still can't get my Dfine 2.0 noise reduction to work. My have to re-download the software when I return home.

We had a nesting pair of these in my birdhouse this year. They are fascinating and a joy to watch and listen to. Great shot!
