Redstart from Wales
Took this little fellow on a recent trip to Wales.
Im not sure if I have the bird in the right place but it looks better there than anywhere else.

Lovely shot! Would prefer it if the branch wasn't cut-off on the right hand side but that's minor - the bird more than makes up for it. :toast:

This is a great image, agree about the rock on the right but still a lovely image ...

Certainly your eye locks straight onto the burds and the only thing I find slightly distracting is the moss on the rock that the bird is not standing on being sharp, lovely inage though, well done.

The mossy rock is infact a top of a stone wall that is a upright stone it hasnt been cut off. But thankyou anyway.

Hi Dale
I quite like the stones etc and the pose is good, but it's the old Redstart problem- that forehead. It maybe my monitor but it looks well blown to me. Mind you I've been doing these all week and I've binned hundreds with the same problem. Get the forehead right and you loose the chin black detail. Can't win !
Cheers

Having spent 3 days in the same location recently Dale I know that the amount of time that he spent on the wall was quite literally only a second, I think you've done a great job.

A nice capture Dale,, they can be real tricky blighters to get spot on at time specially in harsh light

Good capture. Like it as it is.

Ah, I see. My mistake. That bottom right hand corner looks odd then. I'd be tempted to clone fill it.

great shot, colours and pose are excellent, agree with above that the bottom right corner is distracting, still an excellent image though
