Found in a roadside ditch, a variety of detritus carefully arranged by mother nature around a couple of fixed points.

Ricoh GRD3, ISO 100, 1/190 sec, f2.8, handheld at a slight angle to avoid my reflection, PP in Lightroom, cropped square.

interesting shot John, great shapes of course and the lighting is excellent too, i really like the tint from the top right corner and the way the water almost seems rumpled, i do think it would be better with a little more depth of field though so all the detritus was in focus

The more I look at this the more I like it. The sharpness of the middle works well as my eye is drawn into the image.

It would look even better if it was shot on 5x4 with some selective focus on the middle....

Nicely seen... perhaps a bit more central in the frame, I too would like to see more DoF...... Like the two trios of leaves... wouldn't a third have been great.

Ha! I was painfully aware that if I was right over the top of the scene it would all be sharp, but I'd to angle the camera to avoid my own reflection, and was working pretty quickly so didn't fiddle with faster ISO/smaller aperture because I was watching both my two year old son and my bonkers collie legging it off up the lane in a big bid for freedom! Hence I grabbed only one frame to remember the magic! Next morning the ditch was dry as this was after a night of torrential rain.
