Teneral Common Blue Damselfly
50D, 180/3.5, Benbo1 + BH-1.
ISO400, 1/50 @ f8.
ACR5.3 + resize & sharpen CS4.
Slight crop for composition.

One from early Saturday Morning, first time out in earnest searching this year, always a pleasure for me...

All the best

Phil

Super shot and great detail as always Phil. Might have been tempted to lose the plant bit behind the '10 perhaps? :toast:

a lovely shot Phil. Lovely and sharp throughout and nice soft lighting. If it were mine I would probably also clone out the bit of plant behind the 10, but no big deal either way.

Excellent image.I'm inclined to agree about the bit of plant but then you'd also have to do something about the bit of dewy web.And I like the web.

Somthing dont look quite right about it, have you used a false background because it all looks a bit flat for me. sorry Phil.

Dale, I should be insulted.... :argue:

You do not know me or my professional ethics... the image is as taken and the background is natural, there really is no substitute for skill you know...

Best Wishes....

Very nice Phil and another vote to lose the odd flower head, bottom right corner.

Cheers

Super work Phil, excellent detail in the damsel. I can see why you left the flower head, it would have been a shame to lose that web. Nice one!...x

Hi Phil, lovely detail and I for one would also keep the flower head and web. I find the background a bit strong but a minor nit ...... perhaps you could get Fran to give you a few tips  !! :wavey:

Super detail as always Phil, but just a little to 'shady' in colouration for my liking.
