Georgetown waterfall

I went on a waterfall hunt today with it being so overcast. This waterfall is just west of Georgetown right on I70. I can't quite get the processing right, and maybe should crop out the left side. Anyways, looking for some critiques. Oh yeah, D300, 24-70 2.8. Set to vivid. Adjusted white balance and set program to landscape in NX2.

Thanks in advance for the advice,
Joshua Warrender

I actually wouldn't mind seeing a little more real estate on the left side. The rock and foliage create a nice counterbalance to the waterfall. I also wish there was a little breathing room over the top of the falls. Or maybe zoomed out a little bit to create more all the way 'round. Minor details, it's still a beauty.

It has strong possibilities. I think cropping from the left would help, since that patch of semi-dead grass seems to be a distraction (IMHO).

west bound or east bound I-70? I am guessing west?

It is on the westbound. I parked just before the "no parking for the next mile" sign. :) Also right before a guard rail starts.

This may be a dumb question, but how do I add another pic to this thread? I don't see how to do it anywhere. I have a tighter shot I like a little better.

Nice capture Joshua...I've not seen this falls before.

It's a pleasing shot. I'd recommend getting in tighter - the cascades around the middle look very interesting.

I like this. I think Todd and Dave have offered up some good advice. Thanks for posting.

Here's a try at posting the other tighter shot. Crossing my fingers.

Why can't I direct post a second shot? I don't see anywhere to do so?

I actually prefer the first, as the cropped version looks....well, cropped.
Looks to me like the top and bottom of the falls have been cut off.
I suspect you need to be a member here in order to post more than one image.

I also prefer the first. Very nice waterfall shot!
