Very 'artie' Eric

Very good detail in the head, love the stance, handled very well with such difficult contrasting colours, perhaps pump some more saturation in the eye? Is it possible to move the crop as is about 12mm (?) over to the rhs giving more room on that side so the starting point is on that L shape bottom left, if that makes sense?

Like it. :toast: :toast: :toast:

Good different portrait Eric.Agree with Steve's comments to make it an even better portrait.

You have the exposure bang on the nail, which is not always easy with this species. I agree with Steve's comments about composition, but otherwise superb.

Hi Eric,

Terrific image from a great POV. :toast: :toast: :toast:
Nice to see a composition "outside of the box".

Exposure right on the money.....excellent.

I much prefer the first image.

Hi Eric, First crop for me too.

Good to see something different. The BKGR looks like it would benefit from some noise reduction.

Cheers

Hello Eric,
a cracking portrait from an unusual viewpoint. Love the detail, the complimentary grey background and the perfectly placed eye which in alignment with the beak creates a powerful diagonal in the composition. Perfect in the first post that is. No need to change anything as far as I'm concerned (second post is definitely too tight).

Agree with others here that the first post seems to work best for composition and the detail you've captured is very pleasing as is exposure.
