Hi all,

I am just back from a trip to Norway and Finland, primarily photographing birds. This Puffin was taken on an island off the NE coast of Norway called Hornoya. In the four hours on the island we had sunshine, rain, and light snow or sleet, which was challenging to say the least!

Taken with a Canon 1dMK4, 500mm f6.3, 1/1000, ISO200.

C&C welcome.

Cheers

Austin

Looks a good strong portrait with the open beak and tongue giving extra interest.

The open beak is really very nice. Lovely portrait.

I find the area of vegetation on the bottom RHS a little too over powering and maybe a slight elevated camera angle will have helped this. A nice pose captured and good detail where it counts.

Is that your fantastic image of the Camargue Horses in the Daily Mail today?
Well done if it is.
Very strong portrait but not so keen on the vegetation in this shot though.
