I've just finished processing this 7-shot stitched panorama from the Platte River valley outside of Encampment, Wyoming. Please check out this larger version: http://www.brettdeacon.com/photo.php?id=726&gallery=PlatteValley; the space limitations on this site just can't do justice to large panoramas. The colors didn't translate perfectly from Photoshop to the web despite the usual color management steps, but hopefully my efforts to do the impossible and reproduce the intense greens and blues of the scene without going overboard were successful. I just printed off a 22 x 62 of this scene and man does it look sweet! Your comments are much appreciated.
I'm with T-C C, this is one of those images that practically requires, and at the very least enthusiastically invites, the viewer to spend lots of time picking out detail. Absolutely stunning! My only nit is the Wendy's wrapper stuck in the sage in the foreground.

This is a fantastic image!! Small does not do it justice either. I bet it is amazing print.
The downside is you might be tempting your Colorado neighbors to drive into the Cowboy state.

WOW! Did not think it could be done on this scale and quality. You've got my attention.

Thanks for the comments everyone! Todd, you got me - I had to check for the wrapper just to be safe (whew - dogded a bullet there). And for those wanting to photograph something a little different, the Platte Valley is just west of the Snowy Range and it is quite beautiful with a pastoral quality to the scenery. Saratoga is also a cool town to hang out in either for the day or overnight.
All I can do is to echo every other comment posted here.
This is one of the finest panoramas that I've ever seen. The 'development' is exemplary, too!
Which leads to a question...did you use HDR techniques here? If so, I'd love to know the specifics. This is the type of image that could lead me to crossing that line!

Excellent work. Really enjoyable to look at the large image and see all of the detail.
