Mt Hood at sunset from White River. I stopped by White River last Saturday to check out the snow levels. The snow has mostly melted out from White River Canyon and the water level in the river is quite high. Mt Hood is still plastered with snow from the recent storms. I've never seen the mountain look like this in June!
This is a 4 exposure manual blend. Nikon D80, 12-24 Nikkor. 1/10, 1/5, 0.8, 1.8 sec at f/16 ISO 100, polarizer. All C&C are appreciated.
Great job on the blend, Scott. I've never been too fond of this perspective though. The mountain is cut off and the dirt banks dont appeal to me that much.
Scott, as Rick said, the blend is excellent. It is a tough scene to get a all encompassing nice scene here...you've done a great job with the low, close to the water, angle that puts the water squarely in the foreground. That works very well here. Makes me feel like I'm there. Well done.

Thanks to everyone for the comments. Rick and David I completely agree with you about the comp. I wish there was a place where you could get closer to the mountain, but the closer you get the more the mountain gets cut off. Does anyone know of an area where you can get moving water in the FG and Hood in the BG? Let me know if you have any ideas.
