This may be of interest
I was just browsing the Warehouse Express website (dreaming about my next purchase again ) and noticed that they are now selling neoprene lens covers in a range of colours for a range of different telephoto lenses, they don't appear to be that cheap though! they seem to average between £60 and £70 per lens..
That appears dearer that getting them from the USA and paying the carrage and Vat
Also, I think, these are the same as 'the other forum' sells for $80 approx so with shipping and VAT they would cost about £60. If so I have to admit that I have one of the above for my 300 and an 'Arty M' one for my 500, the 'Arty M' one is better stitched and appears to have a better grade neoprene.
PS they also, as well as camo and protection, dampen down the noise of you hitting the lense against anything my accident,

I've just bunged a couple of camouflaged neoprene covers from wildlife watching supplies, one 400 and one 500mm size over my 500mm lens and they work just Dandy. £20 the lot...perfect bargain.
I thought about one of these covers for my 400mm but in the end bought some scrim net from ebay and just tied it around the front of my hood and then wraped it back towards the body. Works a treat, can be removed in seconds and cost me around £4.
Kevin Keatley (WW Supplies) has been making me sleeves at various diameters and lengths for three years. Measure the diameter and advise him that you want a tightish fit. Be sure to emphasise that you want the length accurate, he tends to be generous. I covered a 300 -800 for under £35. As a tip I make a pattern of glue blobs on the focus / zoom sections, it helps with grip and identifies which section is which. Gaps between the fixed sections can be sealed with self adhesive cammo tape. Works wonderfully protects camouflages all in one go.
Camo colour doesn't get kudos points on the touchlines at Murrayfield, still, the results helped cover the ribbing I was taking about soldiers etc
hehehe John - also helps you keep shooting when the BBC crews give up due to bad weather and they've left their binbags at home
