Red Fox with Greylag Goose prey Part II
Hi Guys,

I recently posted another image of this Red Fox with a Greylag Goose in backlight. As this was not to everyones liking.. ..i decided to go back and try to get a similar shot in softer light.

This time i got as close as last time or even closer and the light was nice and smooth. So here's version number II..

More images from my recent Fox "projects" on the Blog and on the News section of my new website.

greetings,

Jeroen Stel

Jeroen, I love this image, foxes are one of my favourite animals and this image sums them up, with prey and a crafty look in its eye, well done.

Well I like them both, although I admit that the light was awkward for the first one (which I missed I'm afraid). Both are excellent captures imo of fox's doing their stuff. Worth two of one doing nothing. That eye makes this one for me. I think that there is a fair amount of irrelevant space on the left that adds nothing to the shot, but I don't know if there is any canvas on the right to play with; even so, I can't believe this has only had one reply.

Nice shot Jeroen, I like the way she's coming straight towards you. There's something I'm not quite sure about with this though, perhaps it's the white sky behind? But then, it's different from other nature shots, it has a kind of 'gritty-ness' to it.

I really like the others on your blog!

It's a cracking behaviour shot Jeroen. I quite like the comp as it is but I have to say I find it a bit light on my screen.

Agree with Robert on this, a good behavioural shot, and it does look a bit washed out on my screen.

Cheers,

A touch more saturation on this and it would be spot. This adult is certainly making an impact on the greylag population on this site! Great work as usual Jeroen. :toast: :toast:

minor saturation nit mentioned, but I really like the single eye looking towards the camera. Excellent.

Great NH image, shame we couldn't see more of the goose's head just to add that little extra dimension.
