Peek a boo! + repost
Hi All,

Unfortunately the Essex population of Heath Fritillary seems to be way down on last year, although when I went a couple of weeks ago the few that were there seemed quite happy being snapped by several photographers that were there also.

Tech:

D2x, sigma 150mm, 1/160th at F8, iso 400

C and C welcome.

Thanks and Regards,

Chris :toast: :wavey:

Hi Chris it could do with being a bit lighter to show off the back lighting more still a nice image thou.

Phil.

Nice and a different angle. Quite like the backlighting.

Hi Chris. I agree with Phil about being a bit lighter. A nice/differnt composition and a beautiful subject. Never managed one of these. I think the whole population of butterflys are well down this year with the extended cold winter we had :frown:

Hi All,

Here is a lighter version as requested, it looks better so thanks for the suggestions, although I was unsure whether to go much more because of the green highlight at the top left of the image.

Regards Chris

Different angle and good with it too.2nd version is better and also puts more detail into the underbody as well.
