Vulcan's Realm
It's been hotter than hell in NE Arizona, but the temperature cooled considerably once I drew further into the depths of this remote slot canyon. It was with great pleasure that I sat and watched the light change here as the sun traversed the sliver of sky I could actually see overhead!
Very little 'development' here aside from contrast correction, cropping and sharpening.

The depth, repeated patterns of color and lines really make this a fine image.

This looks like a seriously sweet slot canyon to explore, John. I know I keep saying it but one of these days I really need to get down there for an adventure with you. Gorgeous photo, by the way. Superb layering, colors, light...just awesome.

That's a beaut! I personally would have been tempted to remove some of the color cast, but very glad you left it as is. Very nice arrangement of color and shape.

Lots of repeating curvatures in that slot canyon. The angle/tilt of the striations on the right side certainly add to the smoother curves of the right side. Nice!
