I know its Fathers Day but the dad was out getting food for the family. There are actually five little ones living in this den. Mom and Dad are kept very busy bringing food to the little ones. My guess is the chicks are no more than 2 weeks old.
These are both extraordinary!
Never seen anything like 'em. The expressions of the owls in #1 is simply priceless.
What I really like is the field of green you captured them in! So unlike the desert or prairie where I'm used to seeing these birds.
Limited DOF is excellent in both, but particularly fine in #1.
My only suggestion would be a Levels adjustment and slight sharpening.
Congratulations on finding and capturing these beautiful birds! How close were you able to get?
The first thing I think of when I see the expressions on these birds' faces is, "Why so serious?" Great shots, especially the first one. The differing eye "poses" makes it very interesting.
GPS coordinates, please.

Great images! Looks like you are having some luck with those owls. Were they of CR129 right off Highway 14? That is were I saw the owl from my post. Looking at these makes me want to go out again!
